I am fluent in modern C++, with over 15 years of experience. Time flies! I'm very familiar with Qt and love to learn new things.

I have an excellent command of Dutch and English. I'm imaginative, analytical, and inquisitive, and I'm a team player who thrives when collaborating to solve problems.
I work equally well on-site and remotely, but prefer the latter.
Some of the projects I've worked on:
Implemented a high-performance Wordle solver and command-line reimplementation of the game, written in C++.
Created an extensible, low-footprint, command-line audio player and simple audio generator using SDL, libFLAC, and libmpg123, and written in C++.
Wrote a C++ command-line application for identifying visually-identical video files, and preserving only the highest quality one, using perceptual hashing library pHash.
Designed and implemented an C++ framework for defining deterministic and non-deterministic finite-state machines and running them on either a single or on multiple threads, using one of several different traversal strategies.
Contributed extensively to a system used for provisioning hosts using Foreman and Salt, particularly in enabling the provisioning of multiple configurations; providing a mechanism for upgrading and patching the provisioning host itself; supporting the registration of existing machines with a new provisioning host; and validating configuration settings prior to deployment, using Python data validation library Voluptuous.
Helped design and implement support for several high-end, remote-controlled CCTV cameras into a system used for remote-monitoring of ports and waterways, as part of a larger vessel traffic service.
And aided in the design and implementation of an extension of that same system to facilitate measuring ship air draughts, for use by the port authority of the Port of Hong Kong to determine whether ships fit underneath an inconveniently located bridge (and during which tidal windows), potentially avoiding a long and expensive detour.
